Text Box:  A Note From the CEO

Making sure all children have access to technology is my mission. It is why I have incorporated More Opportunities to Learn Thorough Technology, Inc. The organization seeks to serve the digitally marginalized in Northwest Philadelphia, because the reality is that much still needs to be done before we can say we have eliminated and eradicated the Digital Divide.  As an educator of Elementary Computer Science in an urban school district for over a decade, I can tell you that the Divide is real and widening. This must change!  Having said all this, you can imagine the frustration I felt when I came across an article earlier in 2010 that purported that the Divide was disappearing because African Americans and Latinos are accessing the Internet via cell phones. I truly found this laughable, and decided to write a response to this blog.  Below is my response to this insanity.
